"When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
It's about a jealous wife, obsessed with her replacement.
It's about a younger woman set to marry the man she loves.
The first wife seems like a disaster; her replacement is the perfect woman.
You will assume you know the motives, the history, the anatomy of the relationships.
You will be wrong."

Someone from Bookstagram recommended this book to me and that blurb drew me straight in, I'm glad I decided to buy it. It's a really smooth, easy read, it's not much of an edge of your seat kind of thriller. Perfect for a relaxed weekend read. Anyone who liked the Girl on the Train or Gone Girl will like this one too (although this book isn't really in the same league to be honest). Also good if you're just reading chapters here and there while lounging by the pool or something.
Diving straight in, something I enjoyed was the use of multiple viewpoints in which the book is written. You honestly won't be expecting what happens. You will be misled. There's not really much I can say without giving anything away as the plot isn't so thick but be aware that the chronological order of things will be confusing until near the end. Not a single character is as simple as they seem, the twist at the end will get you linking the past and present together. For the most part, this ending solved most of the mysteries. I do feel a bit as though things could have been cleared up a little better. Sometimes writers want to give you these mysterious endings for no reason...
I've given it a 4 star rating. Which for a chilled out, easy and quick read it does deserve those stars in my opinion. If you're looking for a gripping, exciting and crazy storyline though then maybe this book isn't for you.
