I added this diary section to the website so I can share parts of my everyday and random thoughts with you all. You'll find a bit of everything here.
A question I’ve been asked a lot when connecting with fellow book lovers is “what made you want to start the blog?”. Being completely honest, I started what was meant to be a fashion blog but I was always worrying what people would think because I’m not the sort of person to dress up everyday. I found myself faking and forcing a lot of the posts and having to cover myself in makeup and stage pictures, it just wasn’t me.
Life was chaotic between moving house (as well as country) and starting a new job, once things calmed down then came the hit of lockdown, I found more time to read again. I was half way through a few books, once I finished the first one I was kind of analysing it and doing a little review in my head. Then it just hit me that I should have been blogging about something I’m passionate about. So the real me came out in my love of writing. Now I’m reading more, writing my thoughts down on what I’ve read and other book related things. It’s really bringing me joy. So I ditched the old blog and started An Authors Choice.
I created the website along with an Instagram account. Never did I expect to find so many book lovers on the gram or the entire Booksta community! In the short amount of time I’ve been here (around a month) this site already has more subscribers than my old blog. I didn’t expect to even get one subscriber and I’m truly grateful for every single one! I won’t bombard you with emails every week if you do subscribe by the way, its just amazing to know some of you value the blog enough to sign up!
The Bookstagram community is incredible and full of kindness. I’m so happy to have met you bunch. Please message me and tell me your passions, your favourite stories, your life goals. I’m here for the deep talks and support of fellow book lovers/ reviewers/ writers.
I’ll stop rambling on for now...
